As previously mentioned, the quality of the paddle could be better - we’re guessing that it doesn't float, so please watch out for that and upgrade your paddle pronto. It measures 95cm x 44cm x 25cm and features padded shoulder straps for comfortable carrying. However, improved padding and additional compartments would be beneficial for longer trips and more comfortable transportation.
- Lidl Paddleboard Adjustable Paddle: The included paddle is adjustable (approximately 167-207 cm) and can be converted into a double paddle (about 229 cm) specifically for kayaking.
When the other blade is utilized, the total length will be up to 7’5″.
The paddle is quite huge, with a weight of 2.9 pounds. People tend to buy them and sell then for nearly double what they paid on Facebook - which obviously we disagree with. As a dedicated paddler, I have had the privilege of receiving several prizes and rewards for my expertise in the field.
This keeps the board close in case you fall into the water.
- Lidl Paddleboard Repair Kit: A repair kit containing PVC adhesive, PVC patches, and a valve wrench is included for making minor fixes to the paddleboard when necessary.
- Lidl Paddleboard Kayak Seat: The package includes a padded kayak seat for added comfort and versatility, allowing you to convert your stand-up paddleboard into a sit-on kayak.
Yesterday (29th April 2021) the middle of Lidl displayed their new range of Mistral water sports gear, including dry bags, wetsuits, wet shoes, and rash vests. Based on our experience, we recommend the following weight limit for optimal use:
- Paddler weight: Up to 95 kg (209 lbs)
Although it is possible to go beyond this recommended weight, the performance and riding characteristics of the Lidl Mistral paddleboard may be compromised as the board may start to sink deeper into the water.
Intended Use & Riding Characteristics
The Lidl Mistral paddleboard is an all-around board, making it suitable for beginners and those who wish to experience a variety of paddling conditions.
The number of accessories that comes with it and the quality of the board far exceeds the asking price.
On the water, it didn’t take long to get the hang of the board, despite it being a slight regression from what I’m used to. The Lidl Mistral achieved just that. They both share the same problem in terms of speed, but neither standup paddle board is designed for high speed.
There are two valves—one on the tail of the board and another towards the center.
Though the quality of the accessories is not up to the mark, still it’s an excellent offer for a low-budget paddler.

However, it’s worth noting that despite being an all-around board, the Lidl Mistral paddleboard comes with a kayak-seat option, making it versatile for those who want to try paddling in a seated position.

Built & Material
The Lidl Mistral paddleboard features an inflatable construction, utilizing drop-stitch technology to ensure durability and stability.
Together, let's make waves and elevate our paddleboarding adventures to new heights.

The Lidl Paddle Board started off as an F2 series paddle board before Lidl decided to switch it to their Mistral series. While it helps improve the stability of the board and its stiffness, it doesn’t improve the overall speed.
Transport
Another pleasant aspect of this board is its portability.
It even includes a waterproof paddleboard dry bag for your smartphone and other essentials.
The supplied pump is a standard, manual pump, but there’s nothing wrong with a little exercise before you hit the water.
While the construction material certainly won’t blow your socks off, you can easily spend more money on other boards and get a great deal less out of the bargain.
Load Capacity
Combining the width of the board and the two chambers, the maximum load capacity is 330 lbs, enough for two small people or a calm pet as a ride-along.
If you’re experienced enough to hold your balance well, you can pack a bag full of gear and head off to the closest island for a night camp.
It’s worth pointing out that if you approach the 330 lbs limit, the board starts to bow in the center.
